Homework will be set every week, and will usually be a piece of Maths revision and a grammar or reading activity. These will be accessed online using the MyMaths.com or through specific activities. Your child will be provided with their own login details for these. Additionally, children are expected to revise for their weekly Spelling and Times Table tests. Spelling pattern lists can be accessed via ParentHub each week. Your child’s individual times-table work will be set via the Time Table Rock Stars website. Parents can be especially helpful by ensuring that their children read for at least twenty minutes every day, followed by a discussion about what they have read.
Year 5 will attend swimming lessons at New Mills Pool.
