Everyone at Chinley Primary School is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all the children in our care. We take safeguarding very seriously. The policies in this section show the procedures all our staff follow to keep the children safe. All staff and regular visitors undertake regular training to ensure that they are aware of safeguarding procedures and legislation.

If you have a safeguarding concern or would like to make a disclosure whilst you are a visitor at Chinley Primary School please contact one of the following members of staff:

Mr Peter Lambert - Headteacher and Designated Safeguarding Lead or Miss Hannah Daley - Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead. The Designated Safeguarding Governor is Mrs Jeanette Leston-Jones.

If you believe any child is in danager then ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190 between 8am and 8pm - Monday to Friday, and between 9.30am and 4pm on Saturdays. Outside these time call the Out of Hours service on 01629 532600.

The Local Designated Officer (LADO) in Derbyshire is responsible for managing allegations against staff and vounteers who work with the children. If you need to contact the LADO they can be reached on tel. 01332 642376.
